For the past two winters the South Dakota Lions Eye Bank, Inc. has been partnering with area hospitals to honor local donor families and transplant recipients. The honorarium ceremonies took place at the local high school basketball game during half time break. The programs were extremely successful in educating and raising community awareness on the needs and benefits of donation. They were also greatly appreciated by the donor families and transplant recipients.

The South Dakota Lions Eye Bank would like to continue community programs in the 2008/09 academic school year. Below is a list of schools that participated in the 2007/2008 community programs:
