5/10 K Walk/Run Sponsored By Hill City and Custer Lions Clubs Start Point Tracy Park & Burlington Northern Trailhead of Mickelson Trail Hill City, SD Start/Finish Times Start: 9am Finish 1pm Distance 5K or 10K Course Maximum grade of .04 with gentle hills through scenic woodlands and past 1880 Train to Newton Lake or High Country Ranch. Directions Hill City is located on Hwy 385/16. Take Mt. Rushmore Road from Rapid City. From Hot Springs and Custer take 385 North. Follow signs to Mickelson Trailhead. Water/Food Water will be available at the start, finish and turnaround points. Carrying water is highly recommended. Lunch will be provided at the Finish.
