MY PRAYER

As I knelt to say my prayer last night
I added one for you;
And because I know God was listening,
That prayer will come true.

I asked God to bless you
Each and every day.
I asked if He would protect you
As you travel down life's highway.
I asked if your days could be filled with sunshine
With very little rain,
I also asked if throughout our lives,
Friends we might remain.

And as I closed this prayer for you,
I asked God above
If He could bestow on me
A little of your love.
